Sup guys. So, judging by my anxiety level and talking to those around me, I would say we are having a pretty crazy year. Papers, exams and projects are all beginning to pile up, and it is easy to feel like you are drowning. Time is absolutely flying, and it is insane to believe how close we are to completing our undergraduate years.
Some days I contemplate dropping out and joining the Peace Corps, whereas other days I feel like I am going to become everything I have ever dreamed of. And then some days I am in the middle and happy to be just going with the flow.
It is really easy to get caught up in everything going on around you and get overwhelmed. Just take a deep breath, relax, and study hard. Take breaks when you need to, but also buckle down and get stuff done when necessary. You are not here to waste time.
Just remember how amazing and lucky you are to be receiving a college education. There are so many people in this world who do not get to experience what we are going through, so do not let it go to waste. Think of all the great things you can do because of this incredible feat. It would not be worth doing if it was easy.
We are almost to the end of our journey (unless you are going to graduate school) and will be considered real adults soon. This is terrifying, but we have been preparing our whole lives for this. Don’t be afraid to mess up, it happens. Mistakes are the fodder for growth. Do your thing. Stay strong. You got this.
